JohnDi
Trying to rehab a handsaw that was my dad's. Panel saw, Disston from the 50's. Blade is bent. Is there a way to straighten the blade? Probably gonna be a wall hanger anyway, but since it was my dad's would be cool to be able to use it.
Tpt life
Bad Axe will do it so it is certainly doable.
wdwerker
Check with an experienced sharpening service. I have watched a guy use a hammer and special anvil to flatten saw blades.
DaveT
Have a read of this about 3/4 of the way down if it is bend as opposed to a kink. I would tend to get a specialist to sort it if it has a kink.
Trip
==>Blade is bent. You knew this was coming -- it depends... Depends on the saw and on your definition of 'bent'. Give Mark a call... Mark D.
