Boatworks Today
The other band I'd strongly recommend listening to is Zac Brown. I've leaned more towards this side of things since I no longer "par-take" but these guys are awesome! Both as musicians and lyricists.. Don't recall if it was this thread but there was a mention of Dave Grohl... Here's one of the compilations with a guest stand-in AJ from the Allman Bros: Other goodies (I'd kill to see them live here!): Next tune is where the tag in my sig came from: Can't forget Jimmy There are TONS more, but this gives a taste
Llama
Here's a heavy one: Insomnium - Above the weeping world. Trust me, you'll thank me later.
wouldwurker
Well, if we're going heavy, I should add Tool - Undertow Helmet - Meantime and 'Betty' Deftones - Adrenaline RATM - self titled (Ah, makes me feel 16 again) Alice in Chains - Unplugged (one of my all time favorites)
Llama
Tool - anything they've done is solid gold.
TerryMcK
Tool - Undertow Just listening. SOmebody in their kindness put it onto Youtube
wouldwurker
Tool - anything they've done is solid gold. I love Tool - Anema, but it didn't fit the question of the 'full album'. Nothing worse than a nonsense ambient noise track right in the middle of a record.

I really dig the instrumental bits of this....makes me feel like I'm about to fight a boss guy in a video game. I can't do the growling vocals though...
rodger.
What did you think of the "Van Halen 3" album a while ago? No, the one With Cherone on lead vocals.
Llama
http://youtu.be/Aq7WlUbH0Uc Just listening to this at work the third time through. Somewhat heavy, and no growling. Similar to Tool. Give it a listen
