chrisphr
Is there any reason I would want to keep my PC plate/biscuit jointer if one day I decide to get a Domino? Anything it does that a domino won't? Thanks in advance...
wdwerker
I have 3 Lamello plate jointers, used to set them up for different heights and one for the tiny biscuits using a smaller blade. Haven't touched any of them in several years. Between the Domiplate and the ease of bit changes one machine has done it all for me. Probably should ebay them . chrisphr
Thanks, that is helpful, confirms my thoughts!
Trip
Gave mine away years ago... In some cases, they are useful -- I gave it to a buddy who's a trim carpenter --- still uses it to reinforce miter joints...
Barron
You can use it for decorative splines in frames and if you have the Porter-Cable with the small blade it can come in handy on thinner material. That said, I will probably sell mine at the next garage sale we have.
Cliff
If you end up selling it, let me know. Domino is out of my price range but I'm specifically wanting the PC biscuit joiner.
chrisphr
Cool, I'll message you with the info on it once I pull it together.
rodger.
I've got the same biscuit joiner. The only reason I could see for using it is to save on dominos ($$$) when doing alignment tasks, as biscuits are cheaper.
