Cliff
Those are the two that I want. I like watching the nutbags contradict each other. It's a soap opera. I'm not proud of it. So just shut up.You don't get an overwhelming urge to weep or blow your own head off doing that?
Woodenskye
playstation VUE (WhateverTF that is) gives you all 3 news channels (and other stuff) for $50 a month.http://www.theverge.com/a/online-tv-stream-price-guide From what I read Mike the VUE allows you to stream content through your playstation like Apple TV or amazon fire tv. If you don't have a PS 3 or 4, then VUE won't work.
sjeff70
I need a DVR to record shows and I need my local sports channel to watch the baseball season. What I did was go to the smallest DirecTV package they have and I get the sports package for 6 months out of the year only. When baseball's over I get Netflix until baseball starts again. So I keep my bill for TV/Netflix around $75 per month. Internet is $31. IPhone 5, Pay-as-Go plan, is about $12 per month. Yea, I don't use the phone much. This is the best I can do for now. I don't watch live TV, I use the DVR to record EVERYTHING (even sports) so I can screen out all commercialism. I don't understand why we have TV commercials if we are paying to watch TV in the first place.
Mzdadoc
It seems I've come to the party late but here's my two cents.I convinced my wife to let me cut the cord and once Mad Men ended she let me. I put a good old fashioned antenna in our attic for local tv and news. I have Apple TV for Hulu, Netflix, and HBO Now. We pay $44 and some change for the almost top tier speed. We were paying $230 for Direct TV and I hated it. Hulu is for all the tv shows and now we pay a little more to not have commercials. With all of this we still save well over $100 a month and now watch what we want.I'm waiting for Sony Playstation Vue to be in my area and we're planning on giving that a try. I've never been a sports nut and my set up only allows for what is shown locally.Someone mentioned pirating and there are ways for some things. Netflix you just need a friend/family user name and password. Other things that Apple TV offers like HBO GO you just need the same friend/family to let you use their cable credentials and then you get those for free. Pretty much the wireless way of tapping into your neighbors cable line.
