Gunther15
I was wondering if anyone on here has had experience with the Cutech 6" benchtop jointer? The model number is 40160H-CT. It come with a helical cutter head but other than that I can't find out much about it. Wonder if anyone had any reviews. Thanks in advance Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
knotscott
It looks a lot like the little Delta. In general, those little benchtop jointers aren't good for much more than really small pieces. Even then, they're light, loud, and not very robust or accurate. Better than nothing but if price is the driving factor, I'd much rather own a used heavier cast iron unit with an induction motor....even if it means traditional straight blades instead of spiral. rodger.
For its capabilities, you are better of getting a handplane. Surfacing one face and one edge of a baord small enough to be the maximum size for that machine is not too challenging.
jplemons
Those look real tempting to small-shop, just-starting guys like me, but I've resisted due to feedback from others. If more people said it'd handle 48" or so, I'd pick one up.
wtnhighlander
I have the Delta version. Save your money for a real jointer.
