BonPacific
I'm looking at an Incra 1000HD on Craigslist, being offered for $125. I've gone back and forth on the idea of an aftermarket Miter Gauge, and Incra seems to be well-liked. Some incra products get called out for being fiddly, which is not my style, but having sub-degree accuracy sure sounds like a dream. So, beyond consulting @TerryMcK's flowchart, what do you folks think? Anyone used an Incra's Miter Gauge?
..Kev
Love mine but, that price is too high for a CL item.. https://www.amazon.com/INCRA-Miter1000-HD-Miter-Gauge/dp/B001RCTTGG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1474415636&sr=8-1&keywords=Incra+1000HD

Just Bob
I used the Incra for a while but switched to this. http://www.osbornemfg.com/. Nothing against the Incra but for me the Osborne is easier to use.
drzaius
I have the Incra 1000 & like it a lot. Don't remember what I paid.
Eric.
I have one. It's nice. It's a miter gauge. I use my crosscut sled 10X more often. They sell for $155 brand new. I'd offer him $75 and I'd walk for a penny more.
Dknapp34
I love mine, but I agree with Eric, I use my sled more often. That said, if you need a miter gauge, go for it, it's cheaper than buying a new one. Definitely try and talk him down more though. Newbi
I have one and love it. I bought mine about 2 years ago. I bought the incra 5000 sled about a month ago and love that even more.
treeslayer
i have the Incra 1000 also, huge improvement over stock ones, not as good as the Osborne IMO, i would buy new before a craigslist buy unless you can get it for 75 or less like Eric said. i think the washers they use are some type of nylon to keep it square in the track and i have to adjust mine about once every 6 months but haven't replaced any yet. BonPacific
Thanks for the feedback everyone. After talking about it, a friend has offered to give me their Incra 1000, so I guess I'll be going with that. Realized I posted this in the wrong forum, glad nobody cared.
