Popular Post Bulldog
I made a tablet stand. It's designed on the fly, and I'm pretty sure it's nowhere near the golden ratio. I got to work on some new techniques, and I will hopefully remember the lessons I learned. The frame and base are cherry. The panel is ambrosia maple, and the splines, dowels, and the slide off preventerer are walnut. Constructive criticism is strongly requested.

..Kev
Looks great! Did you leave some room for expansion on the panel?
wdwerker
Functional and attractive ! I like the raised walnut strip better than the usual groove to hold the base of the tablet. Points for the keyed miters too. Ambrosia maple always looks better as a framed panel in my opinion.

Yes, between 1/16" to 1/8" on each side. Somewhere in there.

prov163
Really nice! I love the look of ambrosia maple. I like the three contrasts of wood.
PlaneOleWoodWorker
This is sweet. I am planning on making an acoustic amplifier for my iPhone and this seems similar. Great job!
