Great Turning Book

I know it's been mentioned before but I wanted to recommend Richard Raffan's "Turning Wood" book. My FiL gave me a copy of the book and it's been a very educational read. I have one of the earlier additionals and while it's not a pretty book, the pictures are black and white and there's lots of two color drawings, it's packed full of good info. If you're just starting out like me you may want to pick up a copy it. There's even a Kindle version on Amazon and the price of the hardcopy and ebook are very reasonable.

I have another of Raffan's books:  Taunton's Complete Illustrated Guide.  Maybe it's Taunton's editing, but I didn't find it that readable compared to say Tage Frid.  But I think I'll give another go.  I will definitely check out the other recommendations, too.
