Popular Post Mark J
I need to turn part of the top of a bowl while it's mounted on the screw chuck. I'm leary of bringing the chisels in close to the spinning chuck. This defines the safe sapce and provides a little warning before the real hyper exponential badness would occur. 3
Bankstick
Great idea! Thanks as I would like to do some plates and bowls this year.
Tom King
I like it! That always scares me too.
pkinneb
Great tip! How do you like your Nova lathe?
Mark J
Thanks. I like the lathe very much for what it is (a medium size medium duty lathe) and what it cost. I ended up doing a review in segments in this thread:
thatCharlieDude
Great idea! I was turning a piece of waste wood this week and I stuck my hand a little too close to the chuck. I received a slight whack! for my trouble. I have the same nova chuck that you do.
