Mark J
Has anyone ever tried using a white cotton glove as an applicator instead of a rag? I'm applying a gel product onto a small decorative piece with a lot of curves and crevices. It has to be coated top and bottom and inside and out. I was just thinking that using one of those white cotton glove liners might be a better tool. Then again maybe not?
Tom King
Maybe with a long cuffed nitrile glove inside it.
Mark J
I was thinking to wear it over a nitrile glove, maybe even double up the cotton glove depending on its thickness. Application would be with index and middle finger tips. Just trying to imagine if this is an idea with any merit or just gonna be an unholy mess. I'd have to order the gloves, they're not on the shelves. So it would be awhile before I could try.
Coop
Ehhh, I think you may be overthinking this one a tad. My old white tee shirts are constantly shrinking.

Mark J
Too bag you can't use pants to apply finish. I got a lot a pants that shrank just hangin' there in the closet. The more I think about the glove idea the less I like it. If I had some laying about I still might try it. I have one more varnish coat to wipe on this bowl. I was just trying to figure out a way wipe the finish over the entire piece in one sitting while still being able to hold on to it. But doing half the bowl at a time works. Just takes longer.
