Popular Post Thomas Schrunk
We have had reports of StopLossBags® developing blisters on the outside of the bag when used to store Zinsser® shellac. This may be because of the inclusion of isobutanol, a type of alcohol, in their formulation. Behlen's Behkol, which we understand is no longer available, can also cause these blisters. We have put an alert on our website regarding several solvents, as well as shellac. If anybody has had this experience, we wish to replace the bag(s) on a two-for-one basis. Please send a photo of the bag(s) you've had this problem with as well as your shipping address to: stoplossbags@gmail.com. It is our firm desire to supply products which are of genuine benefit to woodworkers.
JohnG
Haha @Coop think their ears were burning? A generous offer and a sign of good customer service! I’ll post these pictures here for reference, but my bags have held up to the shellac for 18 months now without issue so I’ll just keep the ones I have. (I clearly bought too much seal coat, but locally I could only find it by the gallon at the time)

I bought these bags at the suggestion of a good friend for storage of ARS and am super pleased with the results. Thank you for your involvement.
