There have been two framers working on my house for the last two days and neither of their circ saws have blade guards and both guys still have 10 fingers and no noticeable battle scars. They just automatically turn the saws upside down after each cut.
Robby W
They just automatically turn the saws upside down after each cut. Yep. That is how I learned it. I finally got a new Skilsaw a few years ago and the guard drives me nuts. I have also had a couple of nasty kickbacks when the guard jambed in the cut. Happens mostly with thin plywood.
