Popular Post roldogg
Here’s a coffee table I just finished. I bought this olive slab, which arrived sandwiched between 2 pieces of 1/4” plywood wrapped tightly with packing tape to keep all 6 pieces somewhat together. After gluing each piece together to make the slab one piece again, I started filling in all the cracks and voids with black epoxy. It took a lot of time and patience to fill everything in without any air bubbles coming to the surface as this is a little too large for the pressure pot. I had a base made to size using 1” square steel pipe and then finished with a powder coated black gloss finish. I love how this turned out and really want to make another one, maybe bigger!

Tpt life
So much resin is not to my taste, but that is still a very nice piece!
wtnhighlander
Striking, to say the least! Looks like a museum display, or maybe a jewelry tray, lined with black velvet to highlight the baubles.

TerryMcK
Interesting piece. I expect that there won’t be much wood movement to worry about with all that resin holding it together.
