wtnhighlander
Good job on the built-in. I hate dealing with things that have to fit snugly into an enclosed space.

BillyJack
When microwaves started getting big I couldn't make carts fast enough. We had a "Uncle Charlies Flea Market" in Alabama and they sold all the wood buttons, candle stick holders, etc. You could want cheap. Southern crafts were big then..
BillyJack
80's shelves. Top,shelf is a baseball shelve from the 90's.. I enjoyed those days.. Most these days feel they need to make something fancy to get noticed. It's really was a lot simpler in the old days..

BillyJack
I hope some of these pictures show the lack of need for expensive tools in the shop. When I started I had a Craftsman jigsaw, belt sander , drill, dowel jig and vibrating sander I purchased from an old woodworker who had passed on. The daughter was selling the shop contents. I couldn't afford the large tools, but was happy with the $20 or so dollars I spent. Of all the tools I still have tge dowel jig and use it now.. Eventually I moved up to a miter saw and really took off. I was maybe 20 years old. So don't be afraid to post questions or projects youve made. We have all made our closet projects at one time...

BillyJack
I bought Fisher brand speakers in around 85-86. I had them under a window that was left open and it rained. Rather than trash tge speakers I built oak cabinet end tables. I eventually took these to work and left them.....
