Popular Post MikeTodd5
This is by far the most intricate piece I've made, very happy with how it turned out! Walnut and maple finished with danish oil.

Coop
That’s really cool! How did you cut the fingers/strips? Trying to second guess Marc; straight cutting router bit, dado set and cleaned up with a chisel?

I have the incra 3000 mitre sled and a freud flat top grind saw blade that is 1/8 inch wide, so I cut once and then move over 1/16 inch and have my 3/16 inch groove. Maybe it's cheating but it's easier than a chisel lol

And I just kept snugging up my fence to the board against the stop and ripping the strips till it was too thin for comfort
Enzo Caleb
That sounds like an incredible piece! Walnut and maple together must look stunning, especially with the Danish oil finish. The intricate details really show your skill—congratulations on a job well done!
