I just bought a Cavalier King charles spaniel  from Kingcharlespup.com and I'm trying to build him a modern cage. What wood do you guys recommend ?

For starters, I suggest that you do a google search on wood that is toxic to dogs that will eliminated some common woods.  I did a 1 minute search and was surprised.  Good luck with your new friend.
