TomInNC
I'm making base cabinets that will sit on concrete in my basement. The floor is unlevel, so I am planning on making a separate ladder-type base that I will screw to the floor/wall, then attach the cabinet to the base. Since the base will be in direct constant contact with concrete, should I be using pressure-treated lumber to construct the base, then trim the base out to match the cabinets? Or is it ok to use plywood for the base as well? I'm primarily concerned about a plywood base warping/twisting because of the ground contact. On the other hand, PT lumber from the home center is likely to have stability issues as well.
BillyJack
No.. you’ll be fine without treated, unless you get moisture during heavy rains. How much out of level?
TomInNC
The out-of-level is TBD. Have to cut the LVP out first.
