legenddc
Nope. Bought the Ridgid one refurbished for cheap. I don't see it listed anymore with Direct Tools or else I would point you in that direction.

I thought about building one but the Ryobi I bought in the 80's is still working so no real need right now.
wtnhighlander
I have the Rigid sander, and can count on one hand the times I've needed the spindle. Most every task can be handled with the belt, since the rollers are unguarded. Through-holes (or VERY tight inside curves) are the only time the spindle is necessary. BillyJack
In cabinet shops, radius is going to be based on the equipment you have. Most shop edge sanders will have a 6” wheel on one end and 3-4” on the other. Now if a customer specifies something you can’t do, you buy what is needed. I originally wanted a Grizzly, but at this time I don’t see enough value to spend a grand. Now every shop is different and every need is different. When I switched from cabinetry, some tooling is the same and some isn’t. it ain’t a box anymore….
BillyJack
I have been curious about these..
wtnhighlander
Do those hand-helds oscillate? The drawback of a spindle or small drum is there is so little surface area. The abrasive clogs and wears out quickly. Oscillation help spread the wear, but it is still a problem.
BillyJack
Oscillate yes…the problem with the Triton is it only goes up to 1.5…
