Ron Swanson is a woodworking-obsessed bureaucrat from the show Parks & Rec. He has a very large personality and when i prattle on and on about woodworking, my wife tends to roll her eyes and say " My God. I married Ron Swanson!" So I'm just having a little fun with my username. I'll probably stick with this one, as you can only change it 3 times. Interestingly enough, the actor who plays this character, Nick Offerman is a highly skilled woodworker in real life. He's written at least 1 book on the subject called 'Good Clean Fun'. The character isn't very far off from his real life personality, as i understand it to be. And if you're ever looking for a good comedy, Parks and Rec is hilarious!

Mark J
Got it. Not a show I ever watched, but I'll keep an eye out for reruns. Maybe you should keep signing your posts "Doug". It will either avoid or embrace confusion.
JohnG
Great show. And Nick Offerman seems like a good guy too. I’ve read (listened to) several of his books and have enjoyed them. All have some talk of his woodworking along with a good bit of humor.
