Southwood
Been a while since I updated this. Picked up a new table saw. 3hp 36" rails Built a small cabinet out of scraps and pocket screws for under the wing. Made up a quick couple brackets so I could hang the miter gauge on the side Last but not least, I got this running again. Appears it is noted to have problems but parts are easy to get
Southwood
Forgot about this rack I made to hold my Marple's. Another plan out of a mag I made work for me.
tim0625
Forgot about this rack I made to hold my Marple's. Another plan out of a mag I made work for me. That is just too simple....I love it. I shall make it my own!

Jethro
Great job with all the shop additions you have given me some ideas for my shop!
Southwood
Picked this up. Time to get serious about my lungs and dust. Hope it works as good as the review from FWW gave it.
davestanton
Hi Southwood. Looking great, so much pleasure returned when you look at a situation and nut out a practical answer. The super dust deputy is the way I am going to go as well. I have the little one on my shop vac and the difference is astounding. Keep us posted. Southwood
Well I got it all set up. At least in a temporary mode for now. Going to test it out like this for now and if it works, I will make a few changes and hard pipe it later.
tim0625
Looks like a great set up. I'm curious to see how everything works - particularly with the (I think) 3" going into the D Deputy. It is 3" right?
Southwood
Actual specs are 6" at the top and 5" coming out the side. I bought reducers for both to run just the 4" flex I had on hand. Have been running my drum sander on a piece of scrap for about 30 mins as a test and nothing has made it to the plastic bag below the filter. Not a true test but about as good as I can do. I am going to try and fill the drum here in a few days and see what happens then.

Southwood
Need to get caught up for sure. Work as been pouring it on lately, not much time for anything else.
Southwood
Might as well update this as I am off work today. I had to add this to the back of my saw in order to work around the elbow for dust collection. Then I done some trading and threw in some boot and pick this up. Not really any good at using it, but I have it. Of course it caused me to move some stuff around and tear out some stuff. I did gain room in the back for parking storage of mobile stuff. Also had to pull in a couple more circuits.
Southwood
Got around to mounting my dust collector the way I think it works best. I used the dreaded plastic pipe option. Once that was done I settled on this for the parking of stuff.
Southwood
I needed more bench cookies for something I was working on here lately and made these. Scrap 3/4 MDF and old mouse pads. Oh I needed more room for the clamps from Jet's Christmas sale, so I rebuilt one rack and made a new one. Sold Marc's design for the new one. I made a more solid roof for the area where I store my benchtop tools. I really wanted to try out my T&G bit set. gave me a place to put stuff I rarely use but want to keep. I think that about does it for now. Should be all caught up. Working on a project or two and a few more shop upgrades. Still finding room in my small space. pghmyn
How well does that dust collector work? I really like how you customized it. How much HP is the motor, and how far are your runs?
Southwood
I really like how it works. DC is Harbor Freight 2hp model. Approx 12 ft to table saw and 15 ft to end of flex hose that I use for router table, planner, jointer and drum sander. Both measurements are from inlet of cyclone. I'm still debating if I want to get a 2hp or 3hp model from grizzly. I would like to have the 3hp model, but it has the two chip bags and two filter bags. It really would take up A LOT of room in a crammed space already.
Southwood
I went HF for now because of the price point. Always a sale and never too hard to find a 20% off coupon.
Southwood
Well I decided to use the lost space below my drill press. With this set up, I can keep all my drill bits in one place, wood type or metal. Found some plans in Shopnotes #128. Changed them around a bit and made them work for me. First we started with a base. I then made the cabinet. Used up several walnut scraps. My father in law is already in love with the set up. Now he will know where all my bits are when he needs to borrow a few.
