G S Haydon Posted November 4, 2013 Report Share Posted November 4, 2013 If I were in your position Tony I would rip cut it down the glue line or I would line up a wide chisel with the joint on the end grain and give it a firm but not crazy strike and see if the hide glue wanted to pop.
