jmaichel
I thought I was all done with the Dutch Tool Chest build, but then I saw this post from Chris Schwarz on the Pop Woodworking site. I knew right away that I wanted to build that lower chest. I got started on it right away. I was able to get a little work done today. I laid out all the parts and cut the top, bottom and sides to final dimension. I also finished the dovetails for the sides and the bottom, although they still need a little bit of finessing. I did not take any pictures of cutting the dovetails, they are pretty much the same as the Dutch Chest. I did make one minor change. I decided to use four dovetails instead of six.
Tony Wilkins
Very very interesting. I need to finish the chest first though.

Byrdie
Nicely done. I'm sure you're going to appreciate the extra storage as well as not having to bend so far for items in the top section.

..Kev
Thanks Fellas! Now time to build something for the house Does that mean your're going to put the chest on wheels so you can get it in the house?
jmaichel
Does that mean your're going to put the chest on wheels so you can get it in the house? I do have it on wheels but not sure the wife would want it in the house

Llama
I really like the idea of the bottom rolling cart. When planning mine I imagined I'd just have it on a stand. Makes sense to hold more stuff though!
