..Kev
Beautiful box! Improve the camera or lighting or both.. Then experiment until you figure out what works for you. Then, do that every time.. Or, hire a pro and be done
Eric.
Definitely more light and probably a better camera...looks like phone pics? A decent DSLR can be had fairly reasonably these days...
duckkisser
from what i have figure out its not the light well not totally its over exposure so i need to figure out how to get the shutter on the camera to speed up i think or learn Photoshop and take the exposure out of the picture. TerryMcK
If you have a PC Duck you can download Picasa from Google for free and it literally is a one click and it will correct exposure, colour and brightness. It can do a lot more and has a very low learning curve. Photoshop is expensive and has a very steep learning curve.

tim0625
Duck, I looks to be just lighting that's needed. All sorts of ways to make some lighting that will help - white halogen lights with white silk is a good one.
duckkisser
I have daylight bulbs and built a light box out of pvc covered the outside with cloth now I have less shadow and lighter highlights. My brother said the seting were set wrong on the camera and when he comes to town he would show me how to set it.

duckkisser
ok here is the a second box i made for the same customer i am just putting a link to my web page so i can save a step with Photobucket. im using white oak for the lid i know it contrasts but that is what she wanted since the walnut came from her family home, the black locust came from her current home and the white oak is left over from a jewelry cabinet her father made for her before he passed away. . https://featheredwoodworking.wordpress.com/2014/11/29/black-locust-white-oak-and-walnut-jewlary-box/
