Fxguy
What are some ways to transfer the plans for a project to the lumber? I've got a plan for a rocking horse that I have half the rocker on paper and need to flip it for the other half so I don't want to lightly adhere it to the wood. ..Kev
Build a template out of some thin material like hardboard or even plywood. This can also be used for flush trimming.
wdwerker
It is amazing how much use you can get out of a sheet of 1/4 or 1/2" MDF , hardboard etc. Jigs, templates, full size drawings and each use can be recycled again to a bit smaller. I refuse to use MDF in a project for a client but it is very useful in the shop !

Mzdadoc
This last weekend I transferred plan templates to a flash drive and took it to FedEx Kinkos. They printed me full size prints for $5 and some change.

This is what I do. Print out the template full size like Mzdadoc said and glue it to a piece of hardboard.
