I guess that teak would be a good choice but am open to other suggestions. I guess I'm also looking for advice about shape/style, species of teak, glue/epoxy, joint types, fasteners, etc. I should consider. I admit that I don't know what I don't know so please feel free to educate me Thanks Chris I've spent the last week read hundreds of posts in these forums and the depth of experience and the awesome attitude I see in all of you is encouraging me! Tpt life Posted January 27, 2015 Report Share Posted January 27, 2015 I have done a lot with stainless screws and custom cut plugs. It helps to over bore the through piece to allow for movement. This is the only way I like to go about making items that are open enough to allow air circulation. That type of bench tends to be slats that don't provide a lot of glue surface. Epoxy would work well, and I think Marc's Contemplation bench could be sized to work well.
