James Miller
If I wanted to buy a paint gun to paint my pieces what would I be looking at? Would regular paint work? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
wdwerker
Regular paint is usually not hard enough for furniture surfaces like tabletops , chair arms etc. The best finishes for furniture come in solvent and water bourne versions. General Finishes has a good line of water bourne products. Lacquers are quite flammable and may not be appropriate for home use. Shellac can be sprayed but it's not always the best top coat, but it's often used as a base coat or barrier coat under incompatible finishes. James Miller
Can these be bought at Home Depot or lowes? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
wdwerker
I'm not sure. Those stores stock different things depending on the location. You definitly don't want house paint. The closest thing would be semigloss enamel trim paint and it isn't going to spray well.
Coop
"PAINT"! Reminds me of Maynard G. Krebs "WORK"!
wdwerker
Hey Coop, Maynard was all in black and white. That's way before most of the folks here. I barely remember the reruns.
Coop
Funny how somethings were bigger and others, more entertaining when you were younger

Coop
You won't find good stuff like that in the music today! And if you did, you wouldn't be able to understand what they were saying.
