Popular Post Eric.
Is there a reason that we need the merge function? There have been grumblings among members, including myself, that you end up missing some parts of a post if you read it and then additional information is added moments later without other subsequent replies in the thread...the responses are merged and there's no notification that additional comments have been made. If it's useful administratively somehow then okay...otherwise I think it would be a better world without it...just throwing it out there.

If there's a way to turn this functionality off, I vote to do so. I've found myself missing plenty of content because of it.
Immortan D
I agree. It's a PITA. If you really wanted a merge you could just edit your last post.
thewoodwhisperer
Ummm.....let me see if that's something we can even turn off.
Popular Post thewoodwhisperer
OK I just set the time for 1 minute. So if you post twice within a minute, the merge will occur. If it's after a minute, it should appear as a separate post. I do like the feature since within a minute, chances are it's more of an edit than anything. But after that point, I agree it can be annoying and confusing.
Popular Post wdwerker
A minute sounds perfect. Many times I read what I just posted and realize that I forgot to mention something.
