RichardA
You knew it was wrong when you posed the question, and you've been confirmed that it is wrong. Now do it right.

Popular Post Janello
wanna use that dovetail drawer in a creative setting? build a table around it and screw the legs to the top of the top. You'll have true art.
Pondhockey
That got an actual, out lout chuckle! The mental image reminds me of a Salvador Dali piece.
Denette
That got an actual, out lout chuckle! The mental image reminds me of a Salvador Dali piece. If you want that, check out Garry Knox Bennet. To paraphrase Cave Johnson, woodworking isn't about "why," it's about "why not?" Here are some of his pieces of "furniture":

Denette
Is that a rhetorical question? Because I can take a stab at it if not. LOL Lol. Personally most of Bennet's work isn't to my taste. Some of his more symmetrical pieces are elevated from "downright stupid," which is how I'd label the plastic chair with a log in it, up to the level of "interesting." He CAN do nice work. It's just that he prefers to cause trouble. He is the equivalent of a bratty teenager doing things just to make his parents upset - he doesn't seem like he has to do these things, he just enjoys watching the purists flip out. Some of his work is actually pretty nice, like these: But then for every nice piece he puts out, there are three more that look like cubist interpretations of the poop emoji. But that's the art world. "I'm the only person in the room who says they like this, and that makes me special."
Popular Post Eric.
I'm not a hater, I just approach furniture with a different philosophy: if it's not functional, it's not furniture...it's art. And while I thoroughly enjoy the aesthetics of furniture, it's the gravy, not the potatoes.
Janello
One thing I couldn't help but notice, is even his dovetails appear to be in the right spot. He has a lot to learn.
