Tom King Posted October 24, 2017 Report Posted October 24, 2017 It works great! I've had it for a while, and hadn't even taken it out of the box before today. I needed to shape a wooden form for some "Origami" transition pieces for a standing seam roof I'm working on, where the standing seam meets the lower skylight curbs that are being formed by the roofing pans-more on that after the installation is complete. The form needed to be a model, in the exact size, of the finished standing seams on the roof. I put together two mating parts out of the scrap pile, and marked the profile on a scrap piece of wood. The shaping was done with a block plane, and the Veritas Concave Spokeshave. I just used it right out of the box. It was very easy to adjust, and held it's setting fine. The factory "sharpening" kind of put my teeth on edge, but it was plenty good enough for this job. It's very much more comfortable, and easier to adjust, than the old cast iron type. I like it a lot. Cheeset202 Posted October 25, 2017 Report Posted October 25, 2017 I have the flat and the concave and love them, agree they work great right out of the box! Quote
SeventyFix Posted October 27, 2017 Report Posted October 27, 2017 I bought the set of 3 and so far have only used the flat one. I'm not looking forward to sharpening the concave blade. Quote
Ronn W Posted October 29, 2017 Report Posted October 29, 2017 Yep, I have the round and flat. Like them. Quote
