Coop Posted April 2, 2018 Author Report Share Posted April 2, 2018 When I bought the jig, I bought their paper and had a piece off double strength glass cut for them. I ordered some new planer blades from Infinity last night and saw the paper you speak of. It’s the same stuff sold by Deulen, but thanks. Tom King Posted April 2, 2018 Report Share Posted April 2, 2018 I don't know exactly what you are looking for, but other than wet-or-dry sandpaper, I keep some of this stuff around too. http://www.leevalley.com/us/Wood/page.aspx?p=74729&cat=1,43072 The backing is much tougher than regular paper backing, and comes in much finer grits. I use it for anything from jointer knives, to small strips for polishing hydraulic rams that start to get rust spots. For sandpaper sharpening on a flat surface, I like a granite surface plate (on sale a couple of times a year from Woodcraft) because just a splash of water will hold the paper in place due to the ever so slight texture on the plate, so you don't have to bother to glue it to anything. I just rinse the paper off when done, and let it lay on the sink to dry until next time. You can use multiple grits, and just rinse, and change each sheet. I use it under running water when possible.
