jbmektx
I'm here looking for advice on which table saw to buy. Can anyone recommend me which one from this list https://www.auditpowertools.com/best-table-saw/ would be decent table saw without breaking the bank? I don't think I'm smart enough to buy a decent used one. Appreciate for any help. Thanks.
wtnhighlander
To get the most useful answer, can you proved a budget range, and the type of work you want to do?
Mark J
Do you have a 240 volt circuit at hand or will you be running off a 120 volt line? Do you have the space for a large saw with accessory tables or do you need something compact and mobile?
Coop
Great question and has been discussed on here many times. Might do a search while waiting on further answers. Welcome to the forum.
Mark Tradesman
For what it's worth, I run a blog where I review equipment like this. I know you're likely looking for answers from fellow woodworkers and I am one. Here is the article specifically for Table Saws: https://tradesmanskill.com/best-cabinet-table-saw/ I also have one for Hybrids: https://tradesmanskill.com/best-hybrid-table-saw/
cxcarl
Mark, I just read your review along with this one https://heavy.com/home/cabinet-table-saws/ and curious what you think of the Baileigh table saw. I know in 2019 they were bought by JPW who also makes Powermatic so not sure if they come out of the same factory. Still trying to understand why Powermatic is quite a bit more for the same HP saw. I’ve had a Powermatic saw before and had no issues but can’t seem to find much feedback on Baileigh. Saws that I am reviewing: Baileigh TS-1248P-52 POWERMATIC PM25350K

Quality control can vary huge between company and company and will make the difference between getting a great saw or a dud. This is assuming they are using all the same parts, which they probably aren't. I'd bet the powermatic has more expensive bearings and tighter tolerances. It also probably has a more expensive motor. Finally the Powermatic PM2000 has an internal mobile base that the Baileigh doesn't have.
