Popular Post joe mendel
This is a portion of a larger project and serves as the base and electronic control center. The tripod footing has adjustable feet to assure that the base is able to be leveled perfectly. I saw a picture of an inlay eagle and I cleaned up the artwork and scroll sawed my version and inlaid the oval into the apron, (on far side--not visible in these pictures). Materials of the base are: maple, holly, and ebony. The Inlay is dyed blue and red, lemonwood, holly, walnut, and sycamore and I utilized sand shading for definition of the wings.

wtnhighlander
I'm curious to see what sort of electronic gadgetry will go into such a table!
gee-dub
I’m assuming a gaming table? Lighted or video surface? Has a nice Monte Carlo feel.
joe mendel
I forgot to illustrate how the electronics are accessible once the rest of the structure is place upon the base.
wtnhighlander
That hinge-down design is pretty slick! Sure beats a removable top.

The "top" can not be removed, hence the drop down solution, and using the table apron as camouflage.
