Eric. Posted March 6, 2014 Author Report Posted March 6, 2014 Hey Don...there's another Spagnuolo original on the free site...a smaller sitting bench/step stool. It's an easier and faster build if you're wanting to make multiples for several kids...and it has a stretcher so everyone can just take a deep breath and relax. http://www.thewoodwhisperer.com/videos/sitting-bench-step-stool-pt-1/?category_name=marcs-projects Quote

If they dont hold up oh well. Ill probably just do a couple in walnut or maple. Its Marks design so I'll pay up to get the plans but I have no intension of doing any of the sculpting work by hand or with grinders except sanding so I think they will be a quick build. We will see in a few weeks after my newest grand baby is born. Quote

Eric. Posted March 7, 2014 Author Report Posted March 7, 2014 How do you plan to get the secondary curve in the legs without sculpting? Quote
Freddie Posted March 7, 2014 Report Posted March 7, 2014 How do you plan to get the secondary curve in the legs without sculpting? I'm sure he's got a shaper cutter for that Eric. Quote
dwacker Posted March 7, 2014 Report Posted March 7, 2014 I'm sure he's got a shaper cutter for that Eric. The curve across the the width is like a butt cheek on a chair. I'm thinking table saw at first glance. Quote

Now that you mention it, I saw this in a video. I believe it was the guy from the philadelphia furniture school making a carved seat with a jig on the table saw. Quote
Popular Post Eric. Posted March 7, 2014 Author Popular Post Report Posted March 7, 2014 I have some buddies who live in a galaxy far, far away...non-woodworkers. This was the response I got from them. Goofballs. 3 Quote
pghmyn Posted March 7, 2014 Report Posted March 7, 2014 Probably one of the best responses I have ever seen. Wouldn't it be awesome, and weird at the same time, if the surface area of the entire piece was equal to pi*r^2, whereas r is one of the radii used for the sculpting? Quote
Eric. Posted March 7, 2014 Author Report Posted March 7, 2014 It would be awesome and weird, but we're never gonna know unless you drive down here and figure it out yourself. Quote
Freddie Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 This is turning into an episode of big bang theory, and I can't stand that show. Quote
Eric. Posted March 8, 2014 Author Report Posted March 8, 2014 Me neither. I have no idea how people can find that crap funny. The project is done; the thread can now die or turn into whatever we want. Except Big Bang Theory. Quote
pghmyn Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 Well, in 7 days, it is national pi day. Is that a national thing? I don't know, we always did something in all my math classes. Quote
Llama Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 Eric, when this is finished you will have a place to out your crack! Quote
wtnhighlander Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 Me neither. I have no idea how people can find that crap funny. Hey, I'm more than just a WOOD nerd, you know! Quote
Eric. Posted March 8, 2014 Author Report Posted March 8, 2014 Eric, when this is finished you will have a place to out your crack! It is finished...did you miss it? It's funny...another guy from that same group of idiots I call friends...the first thing he said was, "I like how you can sit on one end and let your balls dangle over the side. That's awesome." Hey, I'm more than just a WOOD nerd, you know! Oh, I'm a gigantic nerd, too, and I love science. But that one guy I can't stand...the real flamboyant one, kind of the main character I guess? I can't like him. He's not capable of making me laugh. 1 Quote
Freddie Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 Would you guys do the girl on the show though? Quote
Eric. Posted March 8, 2014 Author Report Posted March 8, 2014 Would you guys do the girl on the show though? Ohhh yeah. Bowchickawowow. Great. Now my bench thread is gonna get locked up and thrown away. 1 Quote
Llama Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 Ohhh yeah. Bowchickawowow. Great. Now my bench thread is gonna get locked up and thrown away. Wait, which girl are ya'll talking about? I hope your not talking about Howards mom! Quote
Llama Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 Penny you jackass! Oh How about Bernadette? Quote
wdwerker Posted March 9, 2014 Report Posted March 9, 2014 I think Bernadette is much more attractive. Sheldon is very annoying, but that is what his character is supposed to be doing. 1 Quote
Eric. Posted March 9, 2014 Author Report Posted March 9, 2014 Annoying I can handle...remember Jim Carrey's most annoying sound in the world from Dumb and Dumber? That was annoying. But it was funny, too. That Sheldon dude just ain't funny. IMO, of course. Pills are good! Quote
