Russell Beeman
Okay, maybe it's not that exciting, but I bought an HD77 from a guy on craigslist and it seems to be in pretty good shape and it should last me a good long time. No one around here cares so I had to tell someone. It's not a tablesaw but it's the best I can do right now. This is a slow build up but I'm getting more excited with every step! I'm going to make something out of wood sooner or later.
wdwerker
Skil worm drive is a pretty decent saw. With a good blade and guide it with a straightedge you can build some pretty decent stuff. Practice helps build skills.

Meant to be used in a vertical motion more than a horizontal motion due to the weight forward design.
Chet
Thats a nice saw Russell. Way more power then the smaller skil saws. You'll like it and like Steve said with a good blade you can do some nice stuff. That should get you started real nicely.
Russell Beeman
Yup! I'm going to SFO to pick up my brother-in-law this weekend and taking him back a week later, I hope to make a stop at Jackel's on one of those trips!
