Chet
I am new to this tool and after setting it up and taking it for a test drive, I was getting ready to put it away I started to wonder whether one should release the camber on the blade before storing the cabinet scraper? sheperd80
I do. It keeps the blade up and safe, and i just dont like the idea of storing it with a bend forced into it. I doubt it matters much but thats my take. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
James Wright
I do but I'll often tend to sharpen it before every use so it's easier to just take the pressure off before putting it away
Tom Cancelleri
I take pressure off mine as well.

Gary-ks
Sure you do Brendon_t you just didn't realize it..... Do you have any putty knives ? If so then those can be uses as a hand-held cabinet scraper in a pinch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brendon_t
I own plenty of card scrapers. I associate a cabinet scraper as the spokeshave looking dealiebobbie

shaneymack
Seems to be some confusion here. This is a cabinet scraper. And this is a card scraper Sent from my SM-N910W8 using Tapatalk

And I don't wanna have to fiddle with it and get it scraping right every time I pick it up. In fact I don't wanna fiddle with it ever unless I'm sharpening it. Plus I don't think it makes a difference. The bend in the blade is so slight that I can't imagine that it would cause memory problems. It hasn't been an issue for the six or seven years that I've owned mine, so...YMMV.
davewyo
I don't. If the blade has a "memory", then the bend is in the right place.
