GraveTrain
Hey everyone! Came across this forum via following the Wood Whisperer on YT. I have a small "workshop" in our single car city garage (aka small) since we've purchased our house some 20 years ago. My interest in woodworking and home improvement came about when my wife and I got into flea marketing and we started decorating parts of our home with vintage mid century furniture. I'm part owner and general manager of a bar and restaurant in San Francisco. By the time I get home from work everyone is asleep and to wind down before bed, I started watching and quickly got addicted to wood porn on YouTube. So as I write this intro, I'm in the process of designing my upgraded workshop. I look forward to learning a lot from everyone on this forum. I'll definitely use the search button before asking questions that has been asked a million times. Thanks for the time and advice in advance, I hope to contribute the best I can. Eric.
Welcome aboard, Stan. I can tell by your handle and avatar you're an interesting guy. LOL Hope you stick around for a while. Mid-century modern is one of my many favorite styles, too. It works best on the west coast.
gee-dub
Welcome Stan. Glad to have you. The craft can be a great way to unwind. There are times I come home from work and just go out in the shop and stand there for a bit. The whole vibe relaxes me.

GraveTrain
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Tiods: I live in San Francisco proper in the Sunset District just outside Golden Gate Park. Eric.: Thanks for noticing my handle and avatar. I use them both to "date" myself. Not many people even know what Wacky Packages were. :-) What I always say about shopping for mid century modern is, "it's buying back all of the furniture my parents gave away."
ClassAct
Welcome aboard, Stan! Glad to have you here. Yep, I remember Wacky Packages, along with painter pants and feathered hair. All are long gone now. Edited June 19, 2017 by ClassAct Forgot to add something.
