Mark J
I am searching for a thread that I know exists, because I started it. When I look for it under content I started I can find it and re-read it. But when I put in the exact title search does not find it, even when I limit the search to the specific forum in which the post was made. The thread is old ( Eye want. from Nov 15, 2015), so is there a limit to how far back in time Search will look? Am I doing something else wrong, or is this a glitch? Chet
Just curious, are you using the google search at the top of the page, between the store and thewoodwhisperer.com, or the search that is on the far right?
Tpt life
I use google advanced search and limit results to this domain. Not my idea. I think Brendon told me how.
Eric.
Yeah ^^^ the search in the forum software is pretty weak. I have better luck finding old WTO threads on google than I do through the forum.
Coop
No s**t? I've had the same problem, thinking it was the operator and was embarrassed to ask! On google, do you type in WTO and then the topic?
Tpt life
Some guys know how to type command codes into Google's home page. I use this form instead: https://www.google.com/advanced_search Under site/domain enter "woodtalkonline.com" and it will limit searches to this site. Don't know. I use both phone and desk top which have very different looks. 15 hours ago, C Shaffer said: I use google advanced search and limit results to this domain. Not my idea. gee-dub
I take it one step further to avoid the usually meaningless results from pintrest. I do something like -site:pintrest.com <what you're searching for> site:www.woodtalkonline.com For example: -site:pintrest.com tablesaw site:www.woodtalkonline.com If you enjoy the pintrest results, you can just do: tablesaw site:www.woodtalkonline.com -or- outfeed table site:www.woodtalkonline.com
