Anybody ever combine two of these.

I have one and use it on occasion, had it for years, never thought of two together but I have wished mine was longer, how’s it working out? I believe that they haven’t been made for a long time

I bought the first one from a guy who bought it at a pawn shop but wasn't 100% complete, so I bought another one complete. I've seen Legacys put together just curious if this has been done. Now the holidays are over maybe I can get involved with it..

I'm not familiar with that rig. What does it do?

I only kept this test piece, spiral on a taper, but it makes flutes, octagon and many other, router mounts to round tubes pulled by steel cables and is able to be indexedD2F459C4-03DF-47CE-919D-DADF32973914.jpeg.d28dbc2cc8273873def321aa84cdf91e.jpeg55682B7F-DF86-439C-8F6C-A948B8D4F3D2.jpeg.3747e8f8d5406daef57474424fbe07b2.jpeg

I think the smartest thing would be to set it up and see how it operates. I may be getting to far ahead of myself...

I’ve got the manual for mine someplace, if you can’t find it online I can PM it to you

There  was  flex with the 8' aluminum. It can be beefed up. I'm not using the cable system on this at all and has been disconnected. The rail the plastic guides run on can be stiffened down the entire length. Where the router plate mounts and slides will have to have variable stiffened. I just have to make sure tge pattern and guide aren't interfered with..

If it isn't a challenge, I'll get bored and lose interest..

I've had a address  one problem at a time. Length, width and now play in the head of the router lathe. I think I will use UHMW tape to take the play out. Its plastic again metal..

It seems to me that , to avoid bowing, you could find some wood dowels that will fit  in the aluminum tubes, that would stiffen it up quite a bit.  Just a thought off the top of my head.

While looking for cherry for the poker table, I found my 2x4 1/2 oak for my mantle. One board was heavy and two would might be too heavy for the jig. I may have todo this in two sections based on the weight..

Looking at making my Mantle. I think an 4x4 x8’ of oak is going to be too much for the jig. I may have to do two sections to crate a 8’ column.

Trying to come up with my winter collection of projects.
