curlyoak
Above is pictures of a failing bed rail. The bed must have been torqued somehow to elongate the pin holes. And the pins just fall out. What if I assembled the hardware pour in epoxy, and drop the pins in the holes? Or any other solution. Tom King
Bore both mating pieces out at the same time, and use bolts? You can get some nice looking bolts with color and flat heads that use an Allen wrench.
Tpt life
Are those the type that drop onto hooks? If so, are the pins ever meant to come out? If not, you just need to make sure you do not epoxy into the bracket slot. If that is not the right hardware I am picturing, then I agree with Tom. gee-dub
I think I am looking at something that used to work sort of like this: As long as you could keep the slot clear I think you could epoxy the pins in place. Tom's idea is also a solid solution.

Tom King
The alignment is pretty critical on those to keep the whole structure tight. I think tap on the grab hooks into the headboard, then clamp the rail in place and drill both of them to install the bolts while it's in place. If it's not tight when together, the whole bed is shakey.
Tom King
This is the kind of bolt I was talking about: https://www.amazon.com/Button-Diameter-Furniture-Bronze-Finish/dp/B08WPBW4MP/ref=sr_1_8?crid=394HGB96GYW84&keywords=pancake+head+bolts&qid=1698763905&sprefix=pancake+head+bolts%2Caps%2C92&sr=8-8
Tpt life
Same bolts, but with outside female thread pieces that might be needed for girth. I get this kind of offering under bunk bed repair searches. Looks like they might be called binding post screws. https://a.co/d/9jP6xCr
curlyoak
I like those bolts. But this is not the master bedroom. A decent bed but not top of the line. I bought 2- x 5/16 x 1 1/2" ss carriage bolts. I will paint it black. I found the right clamp as Tom suggests. Asking advice and it comes fast with best information. I am so pleased be part of this forum. Knowledgeable people willing to share. Thanks to all!!!! 1
