Llama
My apologies. I didn't know there was a difference It's easy to tell the difference. If it costs a lot, it's probably good.

Boatworks Today
Hell, as long as we're all over the board on this thread and talking about snacks / treats one of my fav's is a good chunk of venison pepperoni and a handful of Cheetos (with a Dr. Pepper) . If we're still stuck on chocolate then a REALLY good dark variety and a glass of wine !
wtnhighlander
+1 for Dr. Pepper! The only soda worthy of the name!He who dies with the most tools ... leaves a great estate sale.

Boatworks Today
Where I come from, soda isn't called soda. It's called pop... Yup.. When I open a can I hear it say 'POP', not whisper 'soda' .. If anyone mentions 'soda-pop' as an option this debate could get down right ugly...
Llama
I was in Oklahoma and wanted a soda-pop, anyway, I ordered a Coke. To which the waitress replied "what flavor". I said "Coke!" Then things got silly... It was like I was speaking to a child that didn't know what Coke was.

Yeah, around here everything is called a coke. I was just trying to avoid confusing all you furriners with the local dialect... Eric.
I don't know what the hell you people are talking about. Soda is soda. Coke is Coke. Pepsi is Pepsi. Pop is what happens when you stick a needle in a balloon. And agreed about Dr. Pepper...only soda worth drinking...unless you wanna put Captain Morgan's in it...then it's gotta be Pepsi. Coke is straight syrup and acid. Heartburn city. The best candy bars aren't bars, they're cups, and they taste like peanut butter.
Llama
Eric,You are so close to being right! Coke is superior to Pepsi.Everything else is correct!

wtnhighlander
Coke quit being the 'real thing' back around 1980 or so, when they introduced that 'New Coke' slop to hide the fact that they were switching from cane sugar to corn syrup. Hasn't been the same since. He who dies with the most tools ... leaves a great estate sale.
Eric.
Actually it was about 100 years ago when they stopped putting cocaine in it. LOL
