JohnDi
From NYW plans. Wood is Makore. Finish is Arm-R-Seal satin. Makore is my favorite wood lately. First cabriole leg attempt. Steep learning curve. Took 9 months of stops and starts to get done. Hard to see but there is some pretty figure in the top. Now I need to find a knob or handle for the drawer.
Coop
John, Fantastic looking table. Great looking legs.(table legs:) I have never heard of Makore. Is it domestic?
JohnDi
The hardwood dealer said it's common name is African Cherry. I don't know much about hardwoods, but just liked how it looked and bought some for a pair of night stands I built. When I put the Arm-R-Seal on the night stands and saw how it looked, I was hooked. I had to google African Cherry when I got home, and found the name online. This is the top of the night stand that blew me away.
Coop
I googled it. (pronounced mack-KORE-ray) I'm going to look next time I go to my hardwood dealer. Thanks and again, nice piece of work

JohnDi
Didn't come out too bad for the first time I don't think. Let's just say that one of the 4 was destined to be a back leg right off the bandsaw .
