collinb Posted November 18, 2014 Report Share Posted November 18, 2014 Since our kitchen is taking on a Shaker style I decided to replace the plain back panels of the lower cabinets with something to match. Just took some of those "hobby" oak pieces from Home Depot, ripped them to the desired width, and glued them down. Wife spray painted them. Same was done with the fronts. Just sanded, glued on the strips, and painted. (The fronts used the 2" strips as-is, no ripping.) A new floor (LVT) is coming shortly.
