Tpt life
Washed out Try a slightly darker backdrop. The white you are using might be the trouble.
Rick A McQuay
I use Picasa to edit my pics. It does a nice job with color and contrast and it's free. Very cool rolling pins, bet those sell. - sent via Tapatalk

woodbutcher74
Beautiful work. Have you ever thought of letting the inlay stand proud of the rolling pin? It would leave the impression on what ever you were rolling out. Might be kind of tough, but that would be cool. Just a thought.
duckkisser
i know they do it as a decorative chip art and it makes patterned cookies the problem is to make it sit proud i would need to glue the stone together evenly above the surface of the wood. then grind it flush and fill in all the gaps all without the sides of the depression to act like a box and keep the stone chips from moving around. i have made a few necklaces where i formed the wood into the shape i want fill with stone then cut wood away revealing the stone on the back and sides i then fill any gaps on the sides and hand sanded to get it even. kind of a pain but looked realy nice. CT Proctor
The pics are under exposed Dan, that's what is causing the gray washed out look and the muted colors. Picasa is mainly used for organizing your pictures and has basic editing functions. The Gimp is a full featured editing software and is free too. http://www.gimp.org/
