SawDustB
I think the toe rail will likely be the final choice. You can get a better idea of the look (before rounding corners and cleaning up glue).
Chestnut
Looks good. You do need more clamps though. Although does any one have enough.

shaneymack
Thanks guys! Obviously I need more clamps... Fathers day is right around the corner. Time to hint to the wife how much you need some Bessey k bodies ! Sent from my SM-N910W8 using Tapatalk
SawDustB
Construction is now almost complete! All that's left is a final sanding and applying a couple of coats of clear deck stain. The rail laminations weren't too bad to sand, and the final verdict was for the toe rail. Getting them lined up was a pain, but I think it was worth it.
wtnhighlander
The railing looks cool. Good choice!
SawDustB
And finally with a coat of the stain. It's still wet in the photo. I think it'll need at least one more to even it out. Considering it's going to be left outside in the dirt, sun, and rain, I'm not going to get too fussy about it.
wdwerker
The spacers under the toe rail make a big difference ! Looks great !

SawDustB
Thanks guys! I threw a second coat of stain on after supper, and I'm calling it done. I'll put up a picture once it's living in its final placement in the garden.
Alan G
Look great! I like the toe rail. What did you use for the finish?
SawDustB
Look great! I like the toe rail. What did you use for the finish? Thanks! The finish is just a clear oil based deck stain that's supposed to have UV blockers in it. It doesn't really build a film, just gives it some color and makes it easier to clean.
