noshopbob
I'm thinking about getting a Woodriver 4-way clamping system for panels. However I have never seen anything pro/con about these on this site. Are they worth the investment of $33? I struggle with keeping everything flat and square, thinking this may help. ..Kev
Welcome to the forums! I've never used them so, don't have a fair opinion on them. Why not just use clamps and cauls?
pkinneb
Welcome! They look like they would work but I'm with TIODS clamps and cauls if needed
Chestnut
I usually just use a parallel clampe and the bar on it. To protect the clamp i use some blue tape on the bar. This or the above.
gee-dub
I had a set but never felt that they worked well enough. I sold them and went back to parallel clamps.
Cliff
They look handy. I don't think $33 is too much to spend on something like that to try out. However, I discovered that my panel glue-ups coming out bad were a result of me rushing it, or having a flawed technique. As I've gotten more patient and better, my panels have come out closer and closer and now I can fix them up with a card scraper pretty easily. For instance, I found that using biscuits were not an option for me. They allowed too much movement. They never helped, only made my situation worse. I do like using dominoes though. wdwerker
Damstom makes a different version that achieves the same thing. http://www.rockler.com/damstom-38-in-panel-clamp-blue Peachtree Woodworking sells Panel Max.... https://www.ptreeusa.com/clamp_panel_glueUp.htm Both look better but cost more.
