I've been using one on quite a few projects, and it still has it's stickiness - wondering when I should change it. Bad enough to risk leaving dust behind, but even worse to risk leaving dust behind that is from a species not found in your project. Tom King Posted January 14, 2018 Report Share Posted January 14, 2018 Good point. I don't keep them either, but don't remember ever using only one on any project. Disposable gloves are worth using too, or else you get the sticky stuff left on your hands, and waste time getting it off before going to the next step. TerryMcK Posted January 15, 2018 Report Share Posted January 15, 2018 I only use tack cloths when shooting nitro-cellulose and then only use them once before tossing. Like Steve most of my furniture work finishing is waterbourne nowadays so just the air duster and hand broom.
