pkinneb
Anyone have experience with the PRL V2? https://www.woodpeck.com/prl-v2-precision-router-lift-3735.html My lift has been giving me trouble for a couple years now and since I am about to remake my router table top/fence thought I might pick up a new lift. The feature that I like is being able to quickly bring the router up and down with one turn of one handle. Given its cost I want to make sure it works as advertised prior to purchase. Thanks in advance for your input!
JohnG
One thing I don’t understand- the micro adjust is tool free, but then to lock the height adjustment you have to use a tool? And it’s a different tool than the main height adjust?

I saw that too and was concerned but have watched several videos that say you really don't need to lock that down unless doing really large runs. Woodpecker has a habit of over engineering things so I would hope that didn't need to be locked down every time or that is a show stopper as it would get old really fast. Chestnut
I swore i did research on lifts and knocked this one out of the running for some reason, maybe it was just price but it's not that bad? I don't know if you remember the comments on it in this thread?

What's scarier is I have been talking about redoing my table for almost a year Thanks Drew!
Popular Post pkinneb
So I bought the lift in Feb, made the top, and then got side tracked with life until Nov Anyway here's a few shots of this long delayed project Out with the old...its since moved on to a new home :) Most of the parts and pieces for the new table top and fence (design is by @derekcohen) First up is the new top, for this I used Baltic Birch Then I added laminate to the top and bottom and prepped for the cutout Then I started working on the fence. For those interested yes you can use WW tools to clean up UHMW and they work very well Here is where I am at now. Still need to make the fences and cut the tracks into the table top. Re the sacrificial fences I need to put a T Slot in them and I have this bit which I have never used. I'm thinking I will cut the grove on the TS and then route the slot on the RT anyone see an issue doing that way?
Tom King
Looks good to me. The old one is better than any one I've ever used.
Popular Post pkinneb
Today I started by cutting the t-track grooves The final step was to make the fences I cut the groove at the TS then used the router for the slot Finally I added laminate to the front ...and that's a wrap! Just need to make some final adjustments. Oh I did add a Musclechuck as part of the upgrade as well, should be nice. Thanks for following along.

JohnG
Looks awesome! I had never seen that musclechuck before. Might pick one up for my RT.
