wtnhighlander
Anyone gave a recommendation for a good replacement router baseplate that will let me use PC style guide bushings with my Bosch 1617 router? I can make one, but I'd like to gave a good commercial unit to start. I'm not very impressed with Bosch's bushing system.
JohnG
They do sell an adapter to PC style bushings that you can use with the stock baseplate. I used it once and it seemed to work fine, but that’s the only time I’ve used guide bushings so I don’t have any other reference point.
Dave H
I bought this one for my Bosch 1617 https://www.amazon.com/Jasper-Tools-575B-Router-Adaptor/dp/B0035YCN76 It works as good as my PC 690
legenddc
I think this is the adapter JohnG was talking about. The Bosch RA1100 https://www.rockler.com/bosch-ra1129-quick-change-template-guide-adapter-kit Seems like they sell it without the quick adapter part but it's not much cheaper.
Tom King
The replacement base I use is clear, and it works fine. I can't remember the company name though. It might be the one Dave linked to. I do use a centering tool to get it mounted perfectly centered, but I don't remember if it came with the base, or not.
