Popular Post bbaude
After a lengthy move and settling back down, I am bringing my shop back to life. I have it all drawn out on sketchup and would love some review comments from folks. I see in some cases people have posted 2d diagrams. What's the best way to share a 3d layout from sketchup? legenddc
Are you trying to share the actual file or just an image of the 3d layout? Screenshots of 3d layout would work if it's the later. Excited to see your shop and your work!
bbaude
That is kind of what I am asking. If I solicit reviews, should I share the actual file or share "screen shots" of it? I am happy to do either frankly.
Chestnut
You can post images on here pretty easy but I do not believe that site will allow for the transfer of files. A file sharing site would be required and a link provided to those that wish to look. Often the top down 2D view with the 4 main isometic views gives a pretty good idea. Some more 3d screen shots can help if the shop is an odd size.
wtnhighlander
Here, you can post jpeg images or pdf files, not other file types.
gee-dub
I just do a screen capture off of SU and post it as a JPG. It is always exciting setting up shop. I will say that nearly obsessive planning (aided by COVID delays and lots of spare time) has paid off in my current layout over and over again.
sjeff70
Simplicity of use and reliability are always the least important elements in new "technology". Obviously a company's needs outweigh the needs of the customer or as Spock would say the needs of the company outweigh the needs of the customer.
