BillyJack
Looks like the spring summer projects are over for me. Anything I start now wouldn’t be enjoyed. Guess it’s time to shut the shop door and enjoy the air conditioning and let those mosquitos starve.. How is your woodworking summer?
wtnhighlander
Hot. And my woodworking looks a lot like house painting...
treeslayer
I have a window AC unit that I haven’t put in yet, I can work in the shop till about noon before it gets hot and humid and I quit for the day, next week temps are supposed to be close to 97 so the AC may have to go in
Popular Post fcschoenthal
This is the first summer since I installed a minisplit. It's been over 100° here in Dallas/Ft Worth for the last month with heat indexes over 110 and more of the same for the foreseeable future. Now I'm at least able to get out in the shop without doing an unintentional water pop on my projects.

Von
I've been running a little portable dehumidifier just so I don't constantly rain sweat on my projects and I'm done by noon most days. Electricians here today installing the pigtail for a mini-split to be installed later this week.
Ron Swanson Jr.
I get by with a big floor standing fan. It moves the hot air around, at least. I get so little time in the shop with a very demanding necessity called Making a Living that the heat doesn't matter so much. I'm just happy to be out there.
BillyJack
I’ve worked in cabinets without air conditioning so long I’m use to it. When I installed the I could handle humidity, but you had to watch how you touched cabinets when installing.
Popular Post Von
I had to give up finishing yesterday because of the sweat that kept falling off my head on my workpiece. Plus, I admit, I'm a wimp. Contractors just got down installing a mini-split and I'll be able to give it a good test next couple of days. If I can just work without shedding sweat everywhere, I'll be happy.
